Someone asked me what makes this book different from others like it. I said this: Despite hardships, the main character stays true to her gentle spirit. And even though it’s a story about someone with an extraordinary power, the focus is on the inner struggle to feel normal, not the power itself. Self-doubt is something everyone can relate to. But above all else, what makes this story unique is the focus on kindness and forgiveness as prevailing traits – things I find sorely lacking in the modern world.
